Data Centre Technician

Hall A runs on outside air, careful hands and a written log. Technicians are the people who make the hardware boring, which is the highest compliment a data centre can get.

About the role

You will join the Operations team on the floor in Narvik, working in shifts with a small group of technicians. Most days involve replacing parts, racking new capacity and walking the hall. Some days involve snow on the intakes.

What you'll do

• Rack, cable and burn in new GPU servers and network gear.

• Replace failed GPUs, drives, optics and fans, and log every change.

• Run the weekly tray walk and the monthly intake and filter checks.

• Support customers' engineers during hall visits and on-site work.

• Take part in a paid shift rotation with clear handovers.

What you'll bring

• Hands-on experience with servers, structured cabling or electrical work.

• Care for detail, and the patience to follow and improve a checklist.

• Comfort working on your feet and in a cold, loud room.

• Good spoken English or Norwegian; the other can be learned on the job.

• A driving licence, or a plan to get one in your first year.
